Ive always been a last minute guy, not disorganised but doing things last minute. I dont know why but im very structured but last minute and thats how this my jaunt came about to the Balmain Festival...LAST MINUTE!

So i was in London and i got an email and i had some tickets to attend, so i was like i aint doing nothing, so i got head up to Paris on the beloved Eurostar. As usual, the queue and boarding process at Waterloo feels like you waiting on Alice to come out of a toilet in Wonderland, Its damn long and your mind wonders.

So finally dropped bags at Hotel and made a dash to the Stade Jean Bouin. Got to the venue and decided to just walk around outside before i went in. Boy "o" Boy. The Balmainians outside were not joking. The clique i saw and interacted with didnt even have tickets yet they were dressed to posses with that "B". I spoke to a lovely chap who said that he had waited for like 7 hours to try and see if he could get in somehow cause he didnt have a ticket. He started crying when i said i had a spare ticket, i felt so overwhelmed at seeing how much this meant to some people in life. So i said to him "Bro its time for us to enter", to which he gave me a gap toothed smile

Anyway, two hours plus later, i was at the Gard DU Nord with this my luggage box that for some reason just decided to have one of the wheels break and go Solo, So the beginning of dragging it with it carving up the concours screetching that it wants to be deported back to blighty was being proclaimed lound and clear

Now, Balmain say they have made a commitment to democratize and modernize fashion and trust me it felt like Coup with the plotters being the most extreme of the fashionistinerios Everywhere you looked, you had people turning even the smallest folley of the stdiums grass into a mini catwalk. They gave the actual Runway models a run for their money interms of seriousness and dedicationt the exposure of all those Apple and Samsung Flashes

As for the collection on display. Set against a backdrop a story line that reverts back to the stone ages with ancient humans, Yet introducing us to a brand new world, I must say that Mr Rousteing has not lost his edge for abnormality when it comes to those razor blade edges and out the shadow silouttes but at the same time you have to admire his creativity and courage that despite sticking to his script and giving his fans what they want, He is still able to Create New innovative and artistic future signature pieces. I would have to say that in my opinion that Balmain might have the best spring summer 2023 collection. Bravo

Now for my Tipple and time to get Wavy:)
